Home Sweet Home Alone is a 2021 American Christmas comedy film. It is a sequel to Home Alone: The Holiday Heist (2012) and the sixth installment overall in the Home Alone franchise. The film was directed by Dan Mazer, written by Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell. The film stars Ellie Kemper, Rob Delaney, Archie Yates, Aisling Bea, Kenan Thompson, Pete Holmes, Devin Ratray, (reprising his role as Buzz McCallister from Home Alone (1990) and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992)), and Ally Maki as Mei McKenzie, along with co-stars, Chris Parnell, Andy Daly, Mikey Day, Katie Beth Hall and Max Ivutin as Chris McKenzie. The story revolves around a nearly-broke married couple who attempt to steal back a valuable doll they lost. They suspect it was stolen and plan to break into the house of a boy who has been accidentally left home alone.
Home Sweet Home Alone was produced as the first 20th Century Studios film for Disney+. The film was announced after The Walt Disney Company acquired 21st Century Fox and inherited the rights to the Home Alone franchise. Home Sweet Home Alone was released on November 12, 2021 and received negative reviews from critics.
