Drew Goddard (1975) is best known for Project Hail Mary, Bad Times at the El Royale and The Martian.

Andrew Brion Hogan Goddard (born February 26, 1975) is an American filmmaker most closely associated with the horror genre. He began his career writing episodes for the television shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Alias, and Lost. After moving into screenwriting in film, he wrote Cloverfield (2008), World War Z (2013), and The Martian (2015), the last of these earning him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. In 2011, he made his directorial debut with The Cabin in the Woods.

In 2015, Goddard created the Netflix series Daredevil. He went on to direct several episodes of The Good Place and served as an executive producer for 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) and The Cloverfield Paradox (2018), installments in the Cloverfield franchise. In April 2024, it was announced that he would write and direct a new film in The Matrix franchise.
