Jon Bernthal

Jonathan Edward Bernthal (; born September 20, 1976) is an American actor. After minor roles in film and television, he achieved prominence for his portrayal of Shane Walsh on the first two seasons of the AMC horror drama series The Walking Dead (2010–2012). He went on to achieve international recognition for his portrayal of Frank Castle / The Punisher in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) media beginning with the second season of Daredevil (2016), before starring in his own spin-off series The Punisher (2017–2019).

He has starred in multiple films including Snitch (2013), Fury (2014), The Accountant (2016) and its 2025 sequel, Shot Caller (2017), Ford v Ferrari (2019), King Richard (2021), The Many Saints of Newark (2021), Origin (2023), and The Amateur (2025), while also starring in a number of television shows including the The Bear (2022–present) as Michael Berzatto which won him a Primetime Emmy Award.
